Gregg Learns to Thrive

2 min read

When Kaitlyn and her boyfriend brought Greg to me, he was highly reactive — both to other dogs and people. Walks had become stressful, and they couldn’t even enjoy having guests over without worry. Over his two-week boarding and training program, I focused on creating a foundation of trust and structure, teaching Greg to respond calmly and reliably to commands while building his confidence.

But training isn’t just about the dog — it’s about the family too. I worked closely with Kaitlyn and her boyfriend at every step, showing them exactly how to reinforce the skills we were building so they could confidently continue at home. By the end of the program, Greg wasn’t just following commands — he was thriving. Walks became enjoyable, visitors felt welcome, and the family gained a new sense of freedom knowing they were in control.

Follow-up sessions ensure the progress sticks and allow us to touch up any areas as needed, keeping both dog and owners confident and at ease. Seeing a dog and family reclaim their freedom together is why I do this work, and Greg’s transformation was a perfect example.
